PCUM’s vibrant Middle School Youth Group, for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, meets weekly on Wednesday evenings throughout the academic year. The Middle School Youth Group gives the opportunity for Middle School kids to build stronger relationships with kids outside of their primary friend group, enhance their social awareness beyond their own routines, develop a Christ inspired way of life, and engage in fun and games. There are special events to celebrate various highlights in the year, such as an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party in December and a Youth Banquet in June to cap off the year.
The Middle School youth also go on a yearly retreat in mid-March, as well as serve hungry neighbors here in Montclair. Middle Schoolers also take part in leading worship; they act as readers during Christmas Eve services and Ash Wednesday services.
