Greg Horn

Pastor & Head of Staff

The Rev. Gregory A. Horn has been PCUM’s pastor since early 2009. Greg is a graduate of Stanford University in California and Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York. Since 1991 he has led four Presbyterian congregations through periods of sustained renewal, vitality and growth.

Greg is dedicated to the biblical vision of an inclusive, Christ-centered community where everyone, of any age or perspective, is welcomed as a beloved child of God. His approach to ministry is grounded in compelling worship, valuing relationships and diverse voices, the transformative experience of serving others and working for justice. Greg grounds his ministry in the conviction that, as Presbyterian scholar Tom Long says, while “…we cannot prove the promises of God in advance…if we live them, we find they are true, every one, every time.”

Greg is active in the life of the larger Presbyterian church, assisting congregations and leaders through times of conflict, visioning, and transition. From 2005 to 2025, he served on staff at Auburn Theological Seminary and Union Theological Seminary in New York City advising and teaching Presbyterian students preparing for vocations in ministry. He is married to Sarah Touborg-Horn, Editor & Vice President at W.W. Norton & Co. Publishers in New York City. They are parents of two college-age young adults, Will and Maggie, and a dog named Percy. Greg can be reached at  greghorn@pcum.org.
